The cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation programs at Norton King’s Daughters’ Health recently earned three-year accreditation from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Accreditation assures patients that the Madison-based facility’s cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation programs adhere to national guidelines and provide patients with the highest standard of care.
“We are committed to delivering the best possible care,” said Jared Rogers, exercise physiologist and clinical supervisor, Norton King’s Daughters’ Health cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs. “By continuing to improve and exceed established guidelines, we work with patients and providers to put together an individual plan of care for each patient that helps them achieve personal goals and improve their quality of life.”
According to Rogers, the accreditation process evaluates a wide range of performance measures, including competency of staff, building and maintaining treatment plans, communication with patients and doctors, assessing psychosocial stress and reporting on functional capacities.
“Beyond our care here at Norton King’s Daughters’ Health, we are aligned with Norton Healthcare’s programs and follow the same standards,” Rogers said. “Patients have access to a wide range of resources.”
The cardiovascular rehabilitation program earned three-year accreditation in 2021 and renewed its accreditation in 2024. This is the first time Norton King’s Daughters’ Health applied for accreditation for its pulmonary rehabilitation program. Both programs are now fully accredited through August 2027.
